When a 3-year-old Missouri girl drowned in a pool on July 29, she was dead for 12 minutes without a heartbeat.
But when her mother held her in her arms, the little girl miraculously came back to life.
Little Alise Nipper and her mom, Jamie, went to a friend’s pool party in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
After the kids had been in the pool for hours, parents noticed lightning striking in the distance and told all the children to get out. But that’s when they noticed little Alise’s lifeless body.
“All of the sudden, I look over and she wasn’t there, where I last saw her,” Jamie said.
Jamie jumped into the pool and took charge of the situation.
“Something took over me. I remember jumping across the pool, coming up and shouting, ‘Dial 911.’ I was praying while I grabbed her that she would start coughing as if she’d just fallen in, but when I brought her up from the water, it was evident she was without life.”
“She was blue.”
A nurse and CPR instructure, Heather Kyle happened to be at the party and said the little girl didn’t have a pulse.
“I had very little hope of a positive outcome. I said, ‘We are going to do CPR until an ambulance gets here.'”
For 12-minutes straight, Kyle did CPR on the 3-year-old to no avail.
Then a miracle of God happened…
“She all of the sudden had color and pink lips. Her heart started and she started breathing, it was strong, loud breaths,” Alise’s mom said.
Although she suffered brain and lung injuries, just days after the incident, she was taken off the ventilator and could sing once again!
“Her brain has gotten through it, her lungs recovered and as near as we can tell, she’s back to functioning as high level a 3-year-old can.”
“I look at her and think, ‘How amazing, how awesome is our God.’ [We are] so blessed.”
