Furniture collector Nathan Chandler stumbled upon a hidden gem in the form of a quaint, circa-1960’s Chicago home. While there are plenty of those around, this one was special.
Like a time capsule from the bubblegum days, this home has never been lived in! And that makes all these awesome pictures pretty rare, and you don’t want to miss a single one.

This bizarre, old-but-new house is literally in mint condition, from the beautiful carpets all the way to squeaky clean appliances. The one-of-a-kind kitchen is particularly eye-catching with it’s bright pink theme and old-school appliances.

The home was built in 1956 but abandoned in 1962, leaving pretty much everything just as it was. No reason is given for why this home was left unoccupied for so many years, but now we have this incredible piece of history to look back on. Just look at that toilet seat cover!
Pink seems to be the theme here, likely due to the huge influence of First Lady Marnie Eisenhower. She loved the color pink so much, she basically painted the White House in it – dubbed “The Pink Palace” during the time she and Ike lived there.

The kitchen is a celebration of old technology, from the three door refrigerator to the pull-out dishwasher disguised as a cabinet. Some of these buttons will look odd to the younger folks, but the older crowd will definitely recognize the analog kitchen gadgets of yesteryear
This house reminds us of how far we have come in technology, culture and society, all wrapped up in a cute little pink package. What a great find!
